l3irdl3rain: l3irdl3rain: i love being asked things like “oh how did you get into rescuing hospice cats?” bc it implies this was some sort of conscious decision I made and not the result of my unbelievable savior complex. the earliest indication of this is when i was a child and i had this stuffed tiger I didn’t really like that much. One day I realized its eye fell off and when I showed my mom she was like “oh that’s okay, we can just get rid of it” and i became distraught over the idea of him being disposed of because he was “broken”. he became my new favorite stuffed animal. then from the ages of 15-19 I tried out rescuing men. Which btw I do not recommend, they do not appreciate it as much as cats do
